Surprise to Christopher

After arriving home from Seattle last Sunday evening, Chris packed up Monday morning and was gone again.  The girls and I knew that he was returning Wednesday evening in time for dinner and decided that we would give him a birthday surprise.  He had received some gifts throughout the month, but we never had a sit-down-sing-Happy-Birthday meal.  I made his favorite pumpkin dessert and turkey and mashed potatoes for dinner.  We wrapped up some presents and set the table with a table cloth and cloth napkins.  The girls all pitched in to help get everything ready in time.  I think they love a good surprise as well.  And I think Chris was sufficiently impressed by his welcome home!
