My girls are having a great time at my parent's home. My Dad created this wonderful fire pit in his back yard and kindly built two fires for my girls to tend (play in) yesterday. They even volunteered to eat hot dogs twice yesterday just for the opportunity to have a second fire at dinner time. For those of you in 90 plus degrees, it has only been in the 70s here in Alberta, so the fires aren't overwhelming.
I think my dad was growing weary of sitting in the smokiness of the fire last night and was trying to convince Amy and Misha to stop putting more wood on the fire. Amy, ever the one to feel the need to be in charge, began to tell Misha to stop adding to the fire and save the firewood for another day because "wood doesn't grow on trees, you know."
