After returning from Winter Park on Saturday evening, Chris, Kristen, and I got up for an earlier Sacrament Meeting at the building closer to our house on Sunday morning.
We were going to Colorado Springs for Labor Day and wanted to get an earlier start than the 2 pm end time for our church.
Monday morning we got a bit of a late start as we knew that Kristen would want to sleep in on her day off.
We planned to go to the Garden of the Gods and the Manitou Springs.
It was a pretty hot day for hiking so we only went on one short hike to see the Siamese Twins rock formations in the park.
Manitou Springs is kind of like Estes Park as a tourist town, though a little bigger. They were having an arts and crafts fair and the streets were pretty packed with people.
We walked along main street checking out the shops and then perused the fair. Nothing too significant there. Mostly pottery, photography, and soap vendors plus some food vendors.
We made a stop at IKEA on our way home much to Kristen's delight.
Popped in to say "hi" to Misha in Denver. (I keep forgetting to take pictures when we see her).
