Kristen has a long-term sub for choir while her regular teacher is on maternity leave. Her substitute teacher, Mr. Tate, is a big fan of Disney and its music. I actually appreciate concerts such as this because the students have fun singing songs that they recognize and the the adults and families in the audience recognize the songs as well!. Sometimes choir teachers pick the most obtuse, unknown songs and it is just not always fun to listen to them
Kristen had a small solo at the end of the concert during a medley of Disney songs about friendship. The crowd was a little loud as they were clapping for the girl who sang before Kristen, but she was awesome. This girl loves to sing. She's the one with the Minnie Mouse Ears!
