Recitals and Talent Show

Last weekend was filled with Amy's Talent Show at school, Misha's violin recital and Amy's piano recital. The talent show was scheduled at 6:30 pm at the school, and Misha's recital was at 7 pm. We asked Misha's teacher if Misha could be one of the last performers so that we could attend both events. Because Amy has also been in the choir at school, she performed first with her choir group and then later in the program, she played the theme from "Star Wars" on the piano. She was great.





We hurried from the school over to the church in time for Misha to hear a few of the other students play before it was her turn. She did a FANTASTIC job. It was just what she needed to keep her motivated and excited about the violin and practicing. She kept saying, "Everyone's giving me compliments." Like I said, just what she needed.

The picture here is not from the recital. I took a few there but the lighting was so bad that Misha's eyes looked possessed.



We have heard the girls' songs a lot this past month as they have practiced. Kristen will often walk around singing to the "Star Wars" theme--da da da daaaa daaaa da da da daaaa da--or to Misha's Allegro. We're ready for new practice songs.
