I spent a couple of hours yesterday cleaning Kristen's bedroom, sorting through toys and throwing a few things out. When she first saw me trying to organize things, she yelled, "DON'T THROW OUT MY TOYS!!!!!" and hightailed her little heiny up the stairs. I told her I was just organizing..... If she had stuck around, she surely would have spied me tossing a few things here and there into the garbage. Fortunately, she and her sisters went to ride bikes in the cul de sac.
This morning Kristen came into my dressing area and said, "I just love my room. Thanks, Mom." I guess she gets that appreciation from me. I just love a clean room too.
