Amy has been looking for a new car for the summer, but began to feel the pinch of time running out this past week. She has less about a month until she heads off for school.
Chris and I drove with her to Aurora to look at a Toyota Camry. She loved it! However, someone was in the process of signing the papers as we arrived. Amy was pretty disheartened. The used car market is pretty hot right now!
She planned to check out more cars on Saturday and went to a dealership called "Echo Park". Their spiel is to make car buying easy with no-haggle pricing.
Amy drove a 2017 Mazda 6 and loved it. She test drove a few other cars, but came back to the Mazda each time.
Someone else had been looking at the Mazda the night before and went home to think about it. While Amy was in the process of test-driving that person came back in to buy the car.
Since Amy "had the keys" she got first dibs.
She called Chris to ask his opinion and was pretty relieved when he and I said we would come and look and help her finalize the deal.
She may have had shaky hands throughout the process, but now that she is done, she will be more confident next time she needs to buy a car.
Well done to both my girls for buying their first cars this summer!
