Amy and Misha were heading home and Chris, Kristen and I found a place in Fairford in the
Cotswolds to spend the next four days.
They would have to transfer to a bus at Woking to get to the airport. Fortunately they had a lot of extra time before their flight in the afternoon. It was good to get the text finally that they were boarding the airplane.
We took a train in a different direction to Bath. The countryside was so beautiful and we
enjoyed an afternoon taking a tour through the Roman Baths. Not to worry, we all wore masks and we socially distanced as much as possible.
We did happen upon four missionaries who were also touring the Baths. We spent the afternoon
exploring in Bath after our tour and then took the bus from Bath to Bristol.
More adventure as the bus broke down and had to let everyone off before reaching our
destination. The driver told to us to wait at the bus stop and another bus would be along soon.
It worked out to our advantage as the new bus dropped us off right outside our hotel. We
dropped off our luggage and then went over to a mall for dinner at an Italian restaurant called
Zizzi’s. The food was so so.
We booked an Airbnb in the Cotswolds at Fairford. It would mean a lot of left side of the road
driving for Chris for the next few days.
He spent a couple of hours that night watching videos on driving in the UK and learning
about traffic signs.
Amy and Misha texted us that they had landed in Colorado.
Our neighbor texted us some pictures of the swallows that had attacked our house. Ughhhh. One more thing to worry about.
