Amy has had a lot of stress this past week. Over the past month, her roommate has been holed up in her room and would barely talk to Amy. On Wednesday or Thursday last week, Chelle announced that she was moving home because she was dealing with mental health issues.
She was springing this on Amy at the last minute and expected that Amy would be willing to break the lease with Chelle and move somewhere else....with no notice or place to go.
Amy said she wasn't moving, and things just escalated from there to where Amy finally told Chelle she would take her to small claims court to recover the rent money. Amy can't handle both of their payments!
Chelle got mad. Kayleigh, a former roommate, sided with Chelle and started cussing Amy out. Chelle's mom somehow got Amy's phone number and started texting her nasty messages.
I don't know what part of, "I'm leaving and you get to suck up my rent cost or move ASAP" was supposed to be positive or feasible for Amy.
Amy blocked the mom and sadly unfollowed Kayleigh on social media. This is the friend who just got married and Amy was one of her bridesmaids. Crazy.
Chelle moved out on the 19th leaving behind furniture, a bed, and all of her food. I'm sorry that she has been having problems, but she couldn't expect that Amy was going to be thrilled about all of this.
For now, Chelle has agreed to pay rent through April. Fingers crossed that happens.
Kristen needs a place to live until the end of August next year, so she will probably move there at the end of the next semester.
