Kristen's original plan for submitting her mission papers was to have them ready by her birthday in April. The plan was to have her stay in Utah until August to get residency, but she discovered that if she is using the WUE (Western Undergrad Exchange) Scholarship (which she is), she is not eligible for residency.
That kind of messed up a lot of plans because she was hoping to have in-state tuition at the U of U when she returned from her mission. Apparently you have to be off the WUE Scholarship for one year before you can then become eligible to establish residency. Bummer!
So, she started working in earnest to get her mission papers submitted earlier. She made doctor and dentist appointment before leaving on spring break. She meets with her bishop this next Sunday and with her Stake President on the 24th. After that, her papers should be good to go and she will be ready to start her mission anytime after school gets out at the end of April.
