Kristen, surprise, surprise, had a plan for school pictures. She has had curly hair for the past three years; this year she wanted straight hair. She showered Tuesday evening. When she sleeps at night, I usually help her by putting her hair up in a loose bun to keep it out of her face. When her hair is partially wet, this makes some nice curls and waves. Obviously curls and waves weren't part of her planned "look" for pictures this year. But having her hair out of the way was much nicer for sleeping.
When she woke up and came downstairs already dressed in her picture outfit, she said disgustedly, "Look at my hair!" Well, to be honest, it was beautiful. Most women would love to have Kristen's hair. We tried to straighten one side and put a headband in and then she decided that was good.
She pulled out her own tooth the day before pictures. I told her to leave her "Nanny McPhee" tooth until after pictures.
