I love that my kids will take off on a hot summer day and head down to the water to play. Or paddle the kayaks. Or hunt for the perfect tree-house tree. Those are the moments when I think, "That's why we live here."

Thankful Day 12 - Lake
I never aspired to live on a lake. Our family does not have a boat. I have never water-skied, yet I love living by a lake...and a river. You just can't beat the view. I love looking at the lake each morning as the sun rises, as the water glistens from the sun throughout the day, and the beautiful glow on the water in the evening as the sun sets.
