We flew to Houston on Monday evening after stopping to surprise Kristen at her last tennis match before Regionals. She hadn’t planned to see us again since we said goodbye earlier in the day. There might have been a tear or two when her dad pulled her into a hug.
Sadly, we had just missed her playing, but happily it gave us a few minutes to spend with her.
She doesn’t like to be left alone.
We drove to the airport from Lafayette and had plenty of time to stop for dinner using our Priority Pass credits at the restaurant “The Mercantile”.
We made our way to our gate and arrived just in time to board.
Kevin picked us up at the airport when we arrived in Houston. It was late and he had to be up early the next morning; we were grateful to him and Candace for shuttling us back and forth for such a short visit.
