Chris went to check us out while I waited with the luggage for our golf cart pick up. Our rental car had been parked under a tree filled with birds and was quite dirty, but we loaded it up and drove the half hour back to Hertz to drop it off.
Hertz shuttled us back to the airport where we checked our luggage, went through security and then waited for about an hour at the lounge.
We had a 3.5 hour flight to Houston, a two-hour layover, and then another 3-ish hour flight to Denver. We landed about 9:30 pm, picked up our luggage from baggage claim, and were happy to arrive home before the worst of a huge thunderstorm and hail hit.
I used the app to open the gate to the community so we could just zoom through and then used another app to open the garage door. We made it with a little bit of hail coming down. It was about 5 minutes before the deluge hit and ping pong ball sized hail pelted our house.
Our car was safe, but I don't think the same can be said about our roof!
Kristen was more than happy to see us.
