Chris invited his family to a "special activity". We did not know what it would be but put it on our calendars. Amy would join us via Facetime and Kristen too if it worked with her P-Day schedule.
The not knowing drove Misha crazy. "WHAT IS IT!"
Turns out Chris created a walk down memory lane for our time in the Firestone area. We started at the Super 8 on HWY 66. That's where we spent our first couple nights in Colorado with 6-week old Misha and 19-month old Amy.
Chris even found blog entries that corresponded to each of the moments. We moved on to our first apartment where we lived for three months, drove past the first Wal-Mart and the old mall that the girls loved.
We spent time in Longmont and then drove out to Frederick to the Rec Center where we spent many hours swimming, the girls learned to swim and Amy worked as a lifeguard. Each with its corresponding journal entry.
We drove by the Library, our first house, our second house, and finally returned to Pelican Shores where we have lived for the last 11 years. It was a thoughtful way to reminisce and spend an afternoon together.
