On Monday morning, my face wasn't any better, so I took myself back to Urgent Care. Three times to Urgent Care in the past year. It didn't take the Nurse Practitioner long to diagnose me. She walked into the room and said, "You have cellulitis," and then she quickly cautioned me to NOT touch my eye!
Cellulitis - "Cellulitis is a bacterial infection of your skin and the tissue beneath your skin. Anyone can get cellulitis, but the risk is higher if you have a skin wound that allows bacteria to enter your body easily or a weakened immune system. Treatment includes antibiotics."
So, I have been taking antibiotics 4 times a day all week (total of 10 days). It took about three days for the full benefit of the antibiotics to set in.
