Monday-It was my last full day in Sydney. Today Dad and I decided to go and walk around the beach. We found a bus that would take us to Bondi Beach. It was about a 30 minute bus ride. When we arrived, it was a little chilly, but that didn’t stop the dedicated surfers from trying to catch a wave.
We walked by some stores, didn’t find anything worth buying and started our long walk on the coastline. A week before I arrived, a massive storm hit the coast really hard, meaning that a lot of the paths and beaches were messed up pretty badly. The path we chose meant that we had to hop a fence because the entrance was barricaded. The beginning of this path was so beaten up. The actual concrete was ripped out and the handrails were split and bent. Once we made it to the top of that path, we walked down and continued on for about 4 miles.
The coastline was gorgeous. We’d stop to take breaks periodically, and brought snacks and water. At one point, we stopped at the top of one of the hills and watched some very experienced surfers surf some massive waves close to rocks. We kept walking until we wound up at a beach called Coogee Beach. There we found some fish and chips to have for lunch. While we were eating, a plane was skywriting a message asking someone to marry them.
