Band Competition

Misha was invited to participate in the Canon City band competition for high school bands.  She isn't a member of the band, just Percussion Ensemble, but when one of the percussionists wasn't able to attend the competition she was invited to play with a day or two of notice.

Canon City is about three hours away and the students took the bus to the competition, leaving from the school on Friday afternoon.  The band planned to stay over in Canon City and come home Saturday morning, but Misha had other obligations on Saturday morning and was able to catch a ride home with a friend and her dad.  She got home about 11:00 pm and was up early Saturday morning to fulfill some girls' camp obligations.
