Neighborhood Cleanup

Our Third Annual Pelican Shores North Neighborhood Cleanup took place this last Saturday.  While some of the home/landowners did not show up, there were many who did.  For the most part, many of the homeowners along this street are hard workers.

It was just me representing the Kline family as Amy had to work, Chris was in Paris, and Misha and Kristen were helping with a garage sale to earn funds for Girls Camp.  They both ended up earning $40 each.

Mike DePriest used his skidsteer to spread mulch all along the road for about a quarter of a mile, while the homeowners followed along with rakes spreading out the mulch around trees and spreading the mulch more uniformly.  Kaly Batson and I grabbed brooms and swept the excess mulch off the road.  It is looking pretty sharp.

Following a morning of hard work, we met for a pot luck lunch.  I am grateful for the good neighbors that we have.
