We took the Christmas tree decorations down today. Normally I would have waited another week, BUT we purchased a new shelf for our storage room. Putting the Christmas decorations away was a vital part to organizing the storage room and getting it cleaned up. I know, it sounds like a lame excuse.
The girls helped to remove all of the ornaments from the Christmas tree. What a big help. All of a sudden, Amy noticed that the bells on the tree were the same as the one Santa "left" her. She thought for a moment, "Hey Mom, Santa left us a lot of bells from his sleigh."
I hope that she realizes that the magic of Christmas lasts forever. It has never faded for me and is truly more exciting with young children around to share the joy.
