I attended Amy's National Honor Society induction ceremony. It was relatively short and sweet. The program included two guest speakers: Jean Wood who started a non-profit organization to help Lost Boys of Sudan resettling to the U.S. in 2001 with education, mentoring, and adjusting
to life in America; and James Biar, one of the Lost Boys of Sudan.
Amy received the invite last year, and due to my lack of timeliness, the application sat on the corner of my desk until after the due date had come and gone. In fact, Misha had received an invite to the National Junior Honor Society last year as well, and her application sat in the same pile. Ooops.
