The early morning view as we pulled in to port.
I would be lying if I said we were excited to go home. We were all lamenting that the week had just flown by and it couldn't possibly Sunday and time to go home already! Some of us were not happy to have to get up so early either. 6 am wake up call. We hurried to pack up everything by 6:45 am so that we would have time to get breakfast in the Windjammer. No more dining room breakfasts! Booo.
We hurried back down to our rooms to head to deck 4 with our luggage to join the crowd of people carrying off their own luggage. There was already a line forming, and we were just glad that we had joined it when we did.
It wasn't long before we were disembarking and headed down the enclosed ramp to customs. Almost there...
The line was moving quickly and we were out to the curb shortly after 8 am.
Kevin walked the two blocks to retrieve his van while we stayed with the luggage. Here's some sad faces while we waited.
I don't think our disembarking could have gone any smoother. (We heard back from friends who had a later disembarkation scheduled with the pick up of their suitcases. They missed their hired driver for the day. Not sure how they made it to the airport.)
Kevin and Candace dropped us off at Hobby International and then headed home to their kids. They were missing them a little and were excited to see them.
Our flight was uneventful and we landed in Denver around noon.
Home.
