Over the past two weeks, Amy has had a lot of job interviews and follow-up interviews. Her job search was narrowed down to about 4 companies—three in Utah and one in Austin, TX. Amy didn't feel good about two of the Utah companies and told them no.
Finally, she had two offers in hand: one from Logic Monitor (Chris' employer) and Glia. She didn't want to disappoint her dad by not choosing LM, but it was literally putting Amy in an emotional upheaval. Amy received the LM offer on Wednesday, March 5th and had to give an answer by noon on the 6th. The offer from Glia didn't come in until March 6th around 11 am. Down to the wire.
It was hard to tell Logic Monitor "no" because she had made so many great connections there when Chris took her to the company kick off in February. And they really wanted her to be on the BDR team.
When Amy finally decided to accept the offer from Glia, she felt total peace.
So hurray for making a great choice on her first job as a BDR—Business Development Representative. Amy promptly gave her two weeks notice at UCCU and will end there on March 20th. She gave herself a week off and then she will begin her new job on March 31st.
