Chris has had a lot of the electronics equipment delivered recently and wanted to take them down to the new house and install a few things.
We left around 9 am on Saturday morning, listening to General Conference for some of the way. There was a skiff of snow on the ground.
There were two tile guys working at the house. Some of the doors had recently been painted. The ones in the basement had been rehung, but the upstairs doors were still in the living room and dining room.
Some of the accent walls had been painted.

Chris set up a ladder in the kitchen to insert the speakers. What should have taken about ten minutes per speaker turned into an all-day project. The holes cut in the ceiling were 8" in diameter. The speakers required a 9 1/4" diameter. So it took time to cut new holes as insulation rained down and sheetrock dust sprinkled all over him.
We got the kitchen speakers installed before needing to leave for an appointment in Colorado Springs to talk about the live edge desk top for Chris' office. We met with Chris Pollard of Custom 19 Hardwoods. The desk top will be made of black walnut. After paying for half of the project up front, we started back toward Monument. We had a quick lunch from Chick-fil-A and started listening to the afternoon session of conference.
It took us an hour to install the speakers in the master bedroom. Fortunately, one of the workers had left scaffolding set up in the room making it much easier for Chris to cut out the speaker holes. I held the scaffolding so it wouldn't be so shaky.
Chris installed a deadbolt on his electronics room in the basement. We emptied the electronics from the Pilot, carried them to the basement, and locked them in the room. They will be there for us to install more things next weekend for our return trip.
Before leaving, we walked the lot and talked about landscaping, where to place the garden, and took more pictures. We drove around the neighborhood looking at the landscaping.
I had hoped to plant some colorful trees but noticed that most lots are filled with ponderosa pines, other types of pine trees and not an abundance of deciduous trees except for some aspen trees. Aspens aren't my favorite, and I had hoped to plant maple trees, ornamental cherry and pear trees. My plan may change, but I do want some color in my landscape.
We set off for home listening to the evening session all the way home.
