So, I made Chris breakfast in bed.
We have been keeping a notebook for Chris for the past ten years where we write notes to him on his birthday and Father's Day. It is fun to look back as we have celebrated the great guy that he is.
This year I wrote:
"You have been such a blessing to my life as a girl dad. You are the equalizer of hormones, the instigator of adventures, the "wrap you in my arms" hugger, the problem-solver, the teacher of car stuff, the jack of all trades, and the hard worker.
"You have taught them much. You are the best!"
They all had cards for him. And Kristen's was pretty much the funniest.
Kristen also found Chris a new dirt shirt from Sedona, AZ that says "Older than dirt" on the back. She bought the shirt when her group of friends traveled to Arizona for Spring Break together.
We sure love this guy!
