Before we got to doing anything, I tuned into Kristen’s farewell talk, since she was getting set apart as a missionary and starting home MTC on Monday. It was a very good talk and it made me cry. I’ll miss my sister.
We split up that day, with Jade going to the airport to pick up everyone and the rest of us going to the lavender farm to kill some time. Entry was either a couple bucks or a donation of one can per person for the local food bank. We opted for the cans.
The day was overcast and cool, but it was nice so we could be outside for longer.
We walked around the gardens for a little bit. There was a lower and an upper section. The lower section had a ton of different tropical trees that had fruit hanging all over, as well as a bunch of other tropical plants and lots of Buddha statues everywhere. The upper section was where all the lavender was. They had both English and French lavender and one of the employees said we could take any of the trimmings. It smelled great.
We spent some time in the upper section taking pictures and killing time until we decided to go to the gift shop and get some lavender lotion for Aunty Letti as a thank you for hosting all of us and the chaos we brought.
Dad called at that point and I wished him a Happy Father’s Day. By that point it was well past lunch time we were starving, so we said goodbye to Lilliann and went back to Jollibee for lunch.
After Jollibee, we went to Prince Beach to watch the sunset again. Jason, Jade, Maddy, and Rodrigo drove out to meet us at the beach and we all sat and watched the sunset together. After the beach, we all drove home and called it a night.
