The girls left American Fork at 4 pm for Kristen's 6:50 flight. The traffic was horrendous and they were still in Lehi around 5:30.
They finally arrived at the airport after 6 pm—after the typical 1 hour deadline for checking in. Amy dropped Kristen off where she hurried to check in for her SWA flight. Because of the time, Kristen had to settle for Stand By on the 8:30 pm flight. (Which meant a pick up time in Colorado after 10:30 pm).
Chris encouraged Kristen to still check her original gate and flight.
When she walked up, they said, "Kristen?" And she responded, "Yes."
They had been waiting for her. She was the last person on the plane and had to settle for a middle seat, but still, she made it.
She has Airtags on her luggage and found that all of her luggage had been miraculously loaded onto the 6:50 flight as well!
I suggested to Kristen and Amy that it was a miracle. Kristen noted, "God respects Mom's bedtime apparently." And I replied, "Or maybe He just loves his missionaries!"
